GIVEAWAY IS NOW CLOSED. Â Winners will be announced shortly.
Because we really like you guys and want to encourage you to have more memorable family dinners, Mel, my favorite food blogger {MelsKitchenCafe.com}, and I are sponsoring a GIVEAWAY for TWO CLASSIC FONDUE POTS – one from each of us.
This fondue pot is similar to the one my husband brought home from Switzerland. We have had several other brands/models over the years, but this is still our favorite.
Check out Mel’s site for my husband’s AMAZINGÂ FONDUE RECIPE. While you are there, browse her other delicious recipes. Most of our favorite dinners and desserts originated from her!
HAPPY DIPPINGÂ and remember, whoever drops the bread off their fork into the cheese has to do the dishes!
{Neither of these fondue pots are sponsored by Amazon or Swissmar. We just want to encourage you to have family dinners together and think everyone needs a good fondue pot!}
TWO winners will be notified via email on Thursday, October 2nd.
Fine Print: Giveaway is open to individuals ages 18 and older and residents of the lower 48 United States. Â Sorry to our foreign fans – the laws in each country are so different and it is nearly impossible to comply with them all. Â Giveaway will end on Thursday, October 2, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. EST. Â Two winners will be chosen at random and notified via email. Â

I would love to win this giveaway. We have what we call Fondue Date Night for our Valentine’s dinner every year with our kids. Everyone loves it! Can’t wait to try your husbands cheese fondue recipe.
Kim Blackham says
Amy, that’s a super fun tradition for valentines WITH kids! We’ll have to try that.
Ruthie says
I love this idea! Thanks for sharing. I follow Mel’s blog and I’m a big believer in family dinners. This is a fantastic way to make it fun sometimes.
Karen says
The most successful family dinner nights happen when I plan ahead and have some idea of what to fix before 4:00. I’m really excited to try this fondue recipe.
Kim Blackham says
It’s true! It can be so overwhelming if 4:00 rolls around and I have no idea what I’m making for dinner. Hope you love the fondue. Make sure and come back and tell me what you think.
Amy says
Love the idea of fondue! It’s always seemed so fun!
Katrina says
I also love Mel’s food blog. She inspires me! I am so glad to have found your site because I really feel like I need some motivation and inspiration in improving myself and relationships with my family. Our family is just starting to turn a corner into the teenage years and I have loved starting family traditions. We would have so much fun having special fondue dinners together. Thanks for sharing a great idea!
Kim Blackham says
Hi Katrina. Mel inspires me too!! I’m glad you’re here and hope you will find some helpful things. Don’t hesitate to ask if there is something specific you want me to address.

Have been doing family dinners nearly every night since my kids were first born. Now, they are all growing up and moving on. Fondue is an excellent idea to bring them all home to hang out together again!

My best tip is to keep it simple and not stress over everything being perfect or the food taking center stage. It’s all about the family time, conversations and ritual. Thanks for sharing- I’m crossing my fingers and toes for one of these beaties!
Angela says
We tried fondue for the first time on New Years Eve last year. It was such a hit that I think we’ll make it a family tradition. I’m looking forward to checking out your site. Mel has such good advice.
Kim Blackham says
We always do fondue on new years too! Cheese and chocolate for sure and if I am feeling really ambitious – meat fondue.
Katie says
I don’t own a fondue pot, but I LOVE fondue! Crossing my fingers to win this generous giveaway!
Natalie Jackson says
We love fondue at our house. I have 5 kids who don’t always get along as much as I’d like but when we do activities like fondue, they seem to laugh and talk and have fun together. We generally only do dessert fondue at our house but it’s definitely time to branch out and try Mel’s cheese fondue! I would love to win!
Sharon says
I’ve always liked the idea of fondue and would love to try it AND have a great fondue pot to make it in. I’m sure my daughters would love it as much as me.
Heidi Messenger says
I’m dying to win this pot, and your site looks wonderful, can’t wait to read it!!

I am excited to try your cheese fondue recipe- it looks amazing!

Let me know what you think of it. I hope you like it as much as we do 🙂

Thank you for this giveaway! And thanks especially for keeping it simple and not making us jump through all these hoops to get more entries, liking you on every possible social media outlet! I can’t wait to try your recipe. And if I don’t win, I just may have to buy my own pot just like yours. Also, I look forward to browsing your site. I got my degree in pre-MFT at BYU over 20 years ago, and I have been tossing around the idea of returning for a graduate degree when my youngest is in school full-time.
Kim Blackham says
You’re welcome! I don’t like jumping through all those hoops either :). Even if you don’t win, I promise this pot is worth it! It makes for such a fun family bonding night and you can use it over and over again. If you ever want to chat about going back to graduate school, I’d be more than happy to share my experience/perspective.
Jolynne says
How many times can I enter the drawing?
Kim Blackham says
Only once 🙂
Giveaways are way more fun if everyone has an equal chance of winning!
BONNIE says
Your recipe sounds VERY interesting going to make it!!! Nice fondue pot!
kelley says
Planning ahead. Almost all weeknight meals are something marinated that I can throw on the grill or in the crock pot. I go to Mel’s blog for recipes as I know anything she posts will be delicious and we won’t end up eating pb&j.
Sheri Sorensen (@SheriSorensen) says
Look forward to trying this new fondue. I would love to win the fondue pot!
Travis Hinton says
Fondue is just one of those meals that makes you feel like a million BUCKS! I always LOVE new products that are similar to ones from out of the country (sometimes they are just better experts at certain products for certain foods!)
Sara Huber says
Our tiny fondue pot needs to be replaced with a bigger one for our family of 6…this would be perfect!
Brittany Turley says
Glad I was introduced to your site from Mel’s, there are a lot of great things here I will be reading! Thank you both!
Kim Blackham says
Brittany, I’m glad you’re here. Let me know if there is ever something specific you want me to address. I’d be happy to.
Jeri Pettingill says
Thanks for the great giveaway. Fondue is a wonderful tradition. It has lapsed in our family. Definitely time for a revival. Family dinner is not the default in our times now but so worth the effort to maintain. I’m a grandma now. Extra credit for all you Moms who make it happen.
